What is The NewJennasis Network?
“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door”
-Milton Berle
The NewJennasis Network was solely created to aid in the success and promotion of the next generation of creatives. The goal is to give modern storytellers a voice in an industry that is so quick to silence the people with the most interesting stories. We live in a time where networks, streamers, influencers, are eager to promote what’s trendy and popular via remakes or TikTok videos. The NewJennasis Network wants to help you tell your original stories in a way that is unique to your voice. The way we do that is producing your film for you! While the NewJennasis Network is a new company, just recently founded in 2021, it is one that has quickly found its place in the realm of Indie production. The name itself has a double meaning. While it’s an ode to it’s founder, Jennasis Savage, who’s name was inspired by the first book of the Bible, “Genesis”, it also means “New Beginnings Network” as the original definition of “Genesis” would suggest.
We aim to provide a safe, fun, professional and confident community for artists to lean on for support as they undergo the process of taking their work from prose to script, art to animation, and script to screen. The NewJennasis Network was founded on the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard and have their experience acknowledged and respected. On this foundation, we have successfully and independently produced more than ten films, the most recent having just completed it’s festival circuit as a four-time award winner. We believe that by assisting the artists and bringing like-minded individuals together, we contribute to the craft as well as the hustle.
Meet the Founder
JENNASIS SAVAGE has a Bachelor of arts degree with focuses in Screenwriting & Producing from The Cleveland State University Film School. Born into humble beginnings and raised primarily by her single mother, Jennasis found solace in the art of storytelling. She spent a lot of her time as a child writing stories, reading books and allowing her imagination to guide her understanding of the world around her. Jennasis completed her early education at Toledo School for the Arts where she learned to hone her creativity and how to conduct business as a creative professional.
Since beginning to freelance in Atlanta, Georgia in 2021, she’s accumulated a plethora of experience. From working on her first major production as a production coordinator for the B.E.T feature “What Lies Under The Tree” in 2022, to earning her first major network credit with Netflix in 2024 for “Uglies”, Jennasis has been consistently building her resume and gaining experience in the production department, and as a work-for-hire screenwriter and script developer.
Jennasis has successfully independently produced two comedy short films, one of them is now a four-time award winner and the other will be beginning its festival circuit run in 2025. Jennasis has been a work-for-hire screenwriter for notable independent Atlanta companies like Mann Robinson Studios and TTucker Productions, run by Todd Tucker and Kandi Buruss. She currently works as a professional script reader and coverage writer for local Atlanta production company, Cupcake Rapture Studios, founded by Netflix script-reader Phaedra Benford. She runs The NewJennasis Network full time, and will soon be spearheading the cultivation of a public writer’s group with her business partners at Brayvhouse and Copper Fern Productions.
She prides herself on her understanding of the industry and her educational background, but also encourages people to educate themselves on their craft however they can. Whether you earned a degree or spent hours watching youtube videos to learn how to do what you love, she believes all knowledge is valuable and everyone has a right to their passion. While she values both hard work and smart work, Jennasis loves to have fun with what she does! Storytelling is the art of bringing your wildest imagination to life, so why not have fun with it?
From Jennasis - Hey there! Thanks for visiting The NewJennasis Network. I’m super excited you’re here. Whether I’m producing my own work or someone else’s, my job as a producer is to not only handle the logistical, business side of the project, but it’s also to simply be there for the artist. My job is to execute, no matter what that means. The role of a producer is one that is vital to the success of a production, but it’s not the only role that is necessary. Filmmaking is a team sport, and I do my job best when I can ensure others that I’m on top of my game at the executive level. A major part of being successful in this industry is building up your team, and finding people you can trust. It’s my goal to allow artist’s like myself to feel like their vision can be seen and heard. I don’t take people trusting me with their art lightly. I want to help people feel like their work is important, and remind them that it’s okay not to know how to do everything. Storytelling is hard work, despite popular belief. The NewJennasis Network is my way of healing myself and other artists like me. Maybe that’s you!
